J Wood Excavating did an outstanding job installing a French drain in my yard—definitely a 5/5 experience. From the first walkthrough, they explained the plan clearly, marked out the run, and verified where the water would discharge so it wouldn’t cause problems elsewhere. The crew showed up on time, protected the lawn during excavation, and worked efficiently. They used quality materials (properly sloped perforated pipe, clean gravel, and fabric), and you can tell by the neat trench lines and tidy backfill that they take pride in their work. Most importantly, the drain actually works. After two heavy rains, the problem areas that used to stay soggy for days now drain quickly, and there’s no more standing water near the foundation. Communication was great throughout—quick responses, fair pricing with no surprise add-ons, and they left the site clean. Professional, knowledgeable, and reliable. I’d hire J Wood Excavating again without hesitation
